tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-303614752009-02-20T17:47:46.542-08:00Learn About Daniel Garcia's Latest Magic EffectsSebastianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08515843905184362522noreply@blogger.comBlogger5125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30361475.post-1152596547094334862006-07-10T22:18:00.000-07:002007-11-28T23:29:36.784-08:00Did you hear the interview on Magic Broadcast?<br /><br />It was great... for the most part.<br /><br />A lot of things were discussed from his favorite effects to what deceased magician he would like to have met.<br /><br />But, in this post I'll cover the little that Daniel revealed regarding some of his upcoming projects.<br /><br />In other words, what new <a href="http://suburbanmagic.com/daniel-garcia/new-street-magic-tricks-by-daniel-garcia/5/">Daniel Garcia Magic Tricks</a> are in store for us in the next year or so...<br /><br />First things first. He is coming out with 10 new effects this year! SWEET! He explained that some of these will be released as 'compilations', others as individual effects and also a few download only effects.<br /><br />We have already seen the first of his new releases this year, which was <strong>Greed</strong> (released by Penguin Magic). Penguin Magic will also be releasing another effect soon, <strong>Torn Too</strong>, which as with Greed has already been released as a booklet. I already own this effect, and it is phenomenal, but it will be great to see Daniel perform and teach this 'live'.<br /><span style="font-size:78%;">*for those of you wondering what this effect is like, there is a clip of Daniel performing this on his <strong>Torn</strong> DVD.<br /></span><br />The project he was the most forthcoming on was the project he completed with Wayne Houchin, the creator of Stigmata and Sinful (coin in soda can effect). This is a future Ellusionist release and is an "assortment gaff deck" scheduled for a Christmas release.<br /><br />He explained that this is different from a standard gaff deck in that the gaffs were created with specific effects/tricks in mind. It will be manufactered by USPC and will be in the form of a red bicycle deck. Daniel also shared that they will most likely have about fifteen to twenty different tricks to go along with the gaff.<br /><br />With the creative minds of Daniel Garcia AND Wayne Houchin working together, I think we can look forward to some very visual effects... :D<br /><br />He also briefly mentioned two other projects:<br />The first being <strong>Bent</strong>, a clean in the hand coin bend that's going to be released by Ellusionist. It sounded to me that this effect will be one offered as an 'instant download' item.<br /><br />The second is the <strong>Daniel Garcia Wallet</strong>, or "Card in Wallet" as they also referred to it as. And to top it all off, the final transformation is from the $20 to a 50... That's a 50 cent piece!!!<br /><br />Greed is extremely visual and you will get insane reactions from the crowd if presented right.<br /><br />I originally purchased the 'notes' Daniel offered on Greed. Got it, performed it, got great reactions... but I still ended up buying this DVD. To see his handling and also to see him actually perform this effect to unsuspecting people on the street.<br /><br />So, be sure you get your copy of Greed, Daniel Garcia's latest Magic effect.<br /><br />Highly recommended.
